Challenge

Hanna Maria is a restaurant located in Old Porvoo that has been serving customers for over 36 years. It is known for its generous portions, traditional Finnish home-style cooking, and warm atmosphere. Over the years, the restaurant has become one of Porvoo’s most popular lunch spots.

In addition to its lunch service, Hanna Maria offers an intimate 60-seat private dining room as well as catering services for various celebrations and events. The Christmas season is a particularly important time of year for the restaurant.

Although the restaurant had a strong reputation and a loyal customer base, its digital presence did not reflect the quality of its operations or its long-standing tradition. There was demand, but the digital infrastructure did not support growth or efficient operations.

Previously, hundreds of orders during the Christmas season were handled over the phone, which placed a significant burden on staff. A customized online store automated order processing and streamlined product management. Managing the peak season became predictable and manageable.

3. Search Engine Optimization and Brand Rebranding

At the same time, we implemented comprehensive search engine optimization (a keyword strategy for local searches, a clear site structure and optimized content, as well as technical optimization and performance improvements). As a result, Hanna Maria rose to the top spot in Google search results for key local searches, such as “Lunch restaurant in Porvoo” and “Cakes and custom cakes in Porvoo.”

The brand refresh included brand guidelines, the standardization of the visual identity, Canva templates for day-to-day marketing, and brand training to ensure a consistent look and feel.

4. Continuous Development and Partnership

Our collaboration didn’t end with the launch of the website. UUDLY manages Hanna Maria’s social media on a daily basis, including content creation, graphic design, photography, campaign materials, and marketing materials for the restaurant and catering service.
