Challenge

Altrui is a fundraising expert operating in the United States that helps non-profit organizations build stronger donor relationships, increase recurring support, and streamline their daily fundraising activities. The website clearly communicates Altrui’s cornerstone: “fundraising is about relationships” – not tricks, but trust and perseverance.

When the service is knowledge-intensive and trust is the foundation of everything, the website must do three things well: clearly communicate what is being done, build credibility, and guide users to contact the company.

  • Clarity of services: fundraising, donor relations, consulting, and support as separate paths (as well as a natural bridge to recruitment/team transitions).
  • "Relationship-first" angle: the message emphasizes building long-term donor relationships, not campaign gimmicks.
  • Credibility: strong recommendations and the "organizations trusting in Altrui" section make the service a lower-risk purchase.
  • Lead generation: contact forms + newsletter subscription (blog serves as entry point).
  • A sense of security: Support services provide coping strategies and everyday support, making the brand human and stable.

A good expert website makes you feel that someone takes you seriously – and helps you move forward.

Solution: what UUDLY did

1. Structure and message for services

We built the framework for the service pages so that readers can quickly find the help they need for their situation. The message was kept professional but accessible – “this can be done, let’s do it together.”

  • Service page hierarchy and user paths
  • Texts and calls to action (contact us / subscribe to our newsletter)
  • Elements that build trust (e.g., introduction, way of working, references)
2. Blog + newsletter: “give first, ask later”

We created a blog where Altrui shares free advice. The content serves to increase both search engine visibility and trust, and directs readers to the newsletter.

  • Blog structure and content presentation
  • Newsletter subscription points and forms
  • A lightweight funnel that doesn't feel like sales
3. Long-term maintenance and sparring

We have been working with Altrui for over seven years. Our collaboration has included website redesigns, technical maintenance, content updates, and practical coaching—all so that Dan can focus on helping his clients.

  • Updates, security, and performance
  • Planning and implementation of new functions
  • Support and guidance for everyday development needs

Results

Altru now has a stable and evolving website that supports expert work and increases contacts. The blog and newsletter build trust in the long term, and the site lives alongside Altru’s services.

A clear path to services

Service pages and contact forms make it easy to request assistance. Readers quickly understand what Altrui does and how to begin working with them.

Customer feedback

“I have been working with John since before I started my business, and he has been a huge part of my success and growth over the past four and a half years.

I wanted to start my business already having a website that was lead in who I am and what Altrui can do for clients. John delivered for sure and the day I went live and told everyone about Altrui my website was perfect and reflected everything I wanted it to.

Since then, we have done a couple of refreshes with John, and he has always been a kind, friendly, and super intelligent resource.

I am very grateful to John and highly recommend him.

– Dan, Altrui Consultancy
